Data Deletion

Effective: October 2, 2026

This page explains how to have Bite of Balkan delete personal information, and how to remove our access to Facebook, Instagram, Google and Clover. What we collect and why is in our Privacy Policy.

Ask us to delete your information

Anyone can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about them, for example a comment of yours we keep from one of our Facebook or Instagram posts, or an email you sent us.

1. Email hello@biteofbalkan.ca with the subject Data deletion request.
2. Tell us what to delete, and include enough for us to find it: your name as it appears on Facebook, Instagram or Google, the post or review it relates to, or the email address you wrote from.
3. We confirm by email when it is done, within 30 days. If the law requires us to keep something, we tell you what and why.

Deleting our copy does not delete your comment or review from Facebook, Instagram or Google. You can delete it there yourself at any time, from the comment or review itself.

Facebook and Instagram: removing our access

This applies when the restaurant has connected its Facebook Page and Instagram account to our tools, and is for an admin of that Page or account. When our access is removed, the tokens we hold for the Page and account are destroyed at once, and the post identifiers, comments and insights we stored are deleted within 30 days.

• Facebook: remove the Bite of Balkan app from the Page's business integrations, as described in Facebook's help: Edit or remove business integrations.
• Instagram: remove the Bite of Balkan app from the account's connected apps and websites, as described in Instagram's help: Apps and websites you've connected to Instagram.
• In our tools: the restaurant's owner can also disconnect Facebook and Instagram on the Connections screen of our management tools, with the same result.

To have everything we stored deleted at once rather than within 30 days, send a deletion request as described above.

Google: removing our access

This applies when the restaurant has connected its Google Business Profile to our tools. The owner of the Google Account that manages the profile can remove our access, as described in Google's help: Manage links between your Google Account and other apps.

Our access is destroyed at once, and the copies of profile details, posts, reviews and figures we stored are deleted within 30 days.

Clover: removing our access

The restaurant's owner can uninstall the Bite of Balkan app from the Clover dashboard (see the Clover Help Center), or disconnect Clover on the Connections screen of our management tools. Either destroys our access at once. We hold no Clover customer data.

Website analytics

Choose Cookie settings at the bottom of any page and select Decline to stop analytics cookies from now on. To remove cookies already set, clear this site's cookies in your browser.
